Fun in the sun last night. Or not quite in the sun. More outside the sun, in a hot library. Andrew Bayliss, erstwhile head of Carterton Library (close to my home village) and promoter of all things local and literary booked me in for an event. And what a good turn out, given the beautiful evening. It was grand to have so many folk forgo back gardens and pub gardens to come and hear me ramble on about my books, a trail through A Private Haunting and The Stillman and a wee sneak peak at what I’ve recently been working on. Cake too, and wine. Opened later, bien sur, best not to go full Bukowski amongst such good people…
